We Don't but we Do
Jodi Picoult wrote this in her book the Tenth circle
'Vengeance was a funny thing, You wanted satisfaction of knowing it had occurred but you never wanted to actually hear the word out loud, because then you'd have to admit to yourself that you'd wanted proof, and that somehow made you baser, less civilized.'
I think this is so true.
From a Distance by Bette Midler (another of my favourites).
Be Happy, Be Strong, Live Life. I write for the love of it; helps me think clearer and somehow it also gives me strength. it's been healing, it's been a journey; it's about me, being a mom, persons who mean much to me, memories, discoveries, where life has taken me and where I hope it will head. I am moving forward, I'm happier today (1 May 2012)

ReplyDeleteWe get angry, but when the person we are angry with are hurt, we hurt too. Trouble is we have a heart and conscience. God Bless
ReplyDeleteThat darned old heart and conscience get in the way all the time lol! Vengeance can harm the one who hurt us and then what good does it really do in the end? It makes us stoop to the other person's level and brings about the old saying, 2 wrongs don't make a right. GBU!
ReplyDeleteBy the way Bette rocks, especially singing this song! I love her!
